Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation

Massage La Rose Des Vents Wellness Spa is committed to fostering an environment of respect, dignity, and safety for all guests, employees, service providers, and vendors. We strictly prohibit all forms of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation within our spa and in any interactions related to our business.

 

This policy applies to:

  • Guests
  • Employees & therapists
  • Independent contractors
  • Vendors & partners
  • Anyone engaging with the Spa in a professional capacity

 

No individual is exempt from this policy.

Protected Categories

We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment based on any legally protected characteristic, including but not limited to:

  • Sex, pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding
  • Gender, gender identity, or gender expression
  • Sexual orientation
  • Race, color, ethnicity, national origin, or ancestry
  • Religion or creed
  • Age
  • Marital status
  • Military or veteran status
  • Physical or mental disability
  • Genetic information or medical condition
  • Citizenship or immigration status
  • Any other category protected by federal, state, or local law

Harassment (Including Sexual Harassment)

Harassment of any kind — verbal, physical, visual, or digital — is strictly prohibited.

Sexual harassment includes but is not limited to:

  • Unwanted sexual comments, advances, or requests
  • “Quid pro quo” behavior (offering benefits in exchange for sexual conduct)
  • Displaying sexually suggestive visuals or gestures
  • Sending inappropriate or sexual messages, photos, videos, or online content
  • Threatening or penalizing someone for rejecting advances
  • Making derogatory remarks about someone’s body, identity, or gender
  • Any form of sexual touching or assault
  • Repeated behavior that creates a hostile, intimidating, or uncomfortable environment

 

Harassment may occur in person, through text messages, email, social media, or other forms of communication — whether inside or outside the Spa.

single incident may be considered harassment if it is severe or harmful.

Vendor, Contractor & Third-Party Conduct

Vendors, partners, contractors, and any third parties doing business with the Spa are also prohibited from engaging in harassment, discrimination, or retaliation toward guests or staff.

If a guest or staff member experiences misconduct from a third party, the Spa will respond promptly and may take action including:

  • Terminating the relationship
  • Banning the individual from the premises
  • Reporting to authorities if applicable

Guest Conduct Requirements

To protect the safety and wellbeing of our staff, Massage La Rose Des Vents Wellness Spa enforces zero tolerance for:

  • Inappropriate comments
  • Sexual advances or requests
  • Intimidation or threats
  • Disrespectful or discriminatory behavior
  • Any violation of professional boundaries

 

Any such behavior will result in:

  • Immediate termination of service
  • No refund issued
  • Permanent ban from the Spa
  • Possible report to law enforcement and licensing boards

How to Report a Concern

Anyone who experiences or witnesses discrimination, harassment, or retaliation should report it immediately to Spa Management:

We encourage all parties — guests, staff, and partners — to communicate concerns promptly so we can take swift and appropriate action.

All reports will be handled respectfully, discreetly, and investigated as necessary.

Investigation Process

The Spa will:

  • Promptly review all concerns and allegations
  • Conduct a fair and thorough investigation
  • Interview involved parties when appropriate
  • Maintain confidentiality to the extent possible
  • Document findings and take corrective action

 

If misconduct is substantiated, corrective actions may include:

  • Immediate removal or termination
  • Permanent ban from the Spa
  • Reporting to licensing boards
  • Reporting to law enforcement if required

 

If behavior does not yet meet the legal threshold but is inappropriate or could escalate, the Spa may still intervene.

Anti-Retaliation Policy

Retaliation is strictly prohibited against anyone who:

  •  Makes a good-faith complaint
  • Participates in an investigation
  • Provides information or evidence
  • Supports another person’s report

 

Examples of retaliation include threats, intimidation, punishment, or any negative treatment because a concern was raised.

Any retaliation will result in disciplinary action or removal from the Spa.

No Limitation of Rights

Nothing in this Policy is designed to replace or limit any legal rights employees may have to seek remedies under applicable law or rule.
